Bertrand Marchal Heike has a gorgeous voice. I regret she's not more daring in her technique and with the time, she's found a too-comfy frame. But ultimately, even if very repetitive, the rendering is excellent and unique. The instumentation only serves to enhance the melancholic blurry soundscapes she draws. it is nothing groundbreaking, but it definitley gently carries you away.

Brett (Lascaille's Shroud / Soulmass) The Sunshine & Mass Effect songs (of which I am fairly certain they are about) were a wonderful surprise. Haunting, stellar album with beautiful vocals and melodic work. Favorite track: Icarus Signal.

madmisterf Dark and gorgeous, like space itself. The beautiful lyrics, vocals and soundscapes evoke worlds I wish I could explore.
Can't recommend enough for fans of melancholic and atmospheric music. Favorite track: Aeon Rains.

Aeon Rains 06:21
Make way for to me fall I'm too far from orbit now The silence is so deafening No way to save you from What's hidden from our view And it's nothing more than stars That are meant to align The weight on my heart Is taking me under now For sounding the call Run Weather the storm This will be over when It comes for us all Make way for to me fall I'm too close to the end of it all Just waiting for a light to guide me home When every star aligns Nothing lives forever It's fated for the ocean to be my grave The moment I crashed Into silent waters In my wake Unearthing every shipwreck I know There's no safe harbor here Under the waves In a deluge of souls I saw the beacon The moment I caught a glimpse Of my dying reflection in your eyes The light in me is waning I became the amber sky All the lives I had to wager So I could finally die The world beneath us tremors When It calls you from below With your eyes upon your maker It beckons you home
2.
Obsidian 06:22
I see you Here in my final breath Calamity calls me To a final sunrise But you must go on Before the atmosphere collapses You let go of my hand... You must go on Into a sea of stars Dying to be reborn An ocean of endless mirrors The light that never dissolves Waves of aether Collapse beneath us To call me to the void We're out of time So leave this world behind And brace for impact I let go of your hand... Here I am weightless Immersed in obsidian streams Here All is silent The signal that never reached you The harbinger of death The final frontier compels you Into the endless night Waves of aether Collapse beneath us To call me to the void We're out of time So leave this world behind And brace for impact I let go of your hand
3.
Dying Sun 06:28
A new world Gleaming in the distance The memories of your journey here Have all dissolved into the aether All alone You leapt into the future To seek what can't be found The promise That some things never end You reach for debris Of your withering reverie In the absence of celestial entanglement That renders you real You remember your fate... The dying sun The remnants of an unrelenting exodus A world undone The fatal force of gravity And all that we left is the silence In place of a star Somewhere the promise of light Reaches into the dark A beacon of hope in your heart A crimson circle around the dying sun Your eyes fixed on somewhere far beyond The veil of long-dead light We'll ascend from the raging seas Where we were We'll live on in the collective dream You'll surrender yourself To the moments that you should have taken And you'll remember the end of the sunset That left you forsaken
4.
Long before the waning sunrise Our mission is compromised By a signal from nowhere An omen from Icarus I In the shadows of Mercury Upon the shore The mesmer and ardor of a brilliant ocean (of fire) A nuclear core A weapon suspended in golden armor (of light) Set the controls For a faultless collision Realign the shields And don't move 'til we're hidden A calculated risk Now a critical condition But two last hopes are better than one Hold your breath Count the seconds to impact Detonate On your way to reignite the Sun And it's always the reoccuring dream Where I'm falling to my irreversible destiny And we promised the Sun will never sleep In the cinder I leave In my bittersweet legacy Hold your breath Count the seconds to impact Detonate On my way to reignite the Sun

Lost in a place Defined by numbers Surrounded by pillars that reach for the sky An endless city that runs away from time I breach the stratosphere On telomeres of circuitry And under these colorless skies Where nothing survives I'll deliver you If we make it out of here alive ...and the days are longer ...and the nights are colder ...and the way is undetermined But I know it's far... From the world that I remember And I feel the essence of me Becoming obsolete In this digital anatomy Losing what it means to feel This coding Inside me I'm someone else This undeciphered binary On this staircase to nowhere I traverse your machines To find The Net Terminal Gene Beyond the hollow of Jupiter I've walked a thousand years To bring you this pivotal key A never-ending doorway To nothing as it seems No sign of your safeguards In this labyrinth of derelict dreams These fragments of data That belong to more than you It's the sequence that will save us all From a future we didn't choose ...and the systems falter ...and the rust dissolves ...and the end is further than death But I stay here... On this staircase to nowhere I traverse your machines To find The Net Terminal Gene Beyond the hollow of Jupiter I've walked a thousand years To bring you this pivotal key ...and the days are longer ...and the nights are colder ...and the way is undetermined But I stay the course for the both of us

Ilos 04:09
I lay my hands on the dirt Feeling every part of me disperse I oscillate and dissipate to nothing I lift my head from the surface A moment felt in every universe Sending every instance Of reality back to me In the streams of downward inertia The shards and shattered remains of A haunted station The only home that I know The sentinel that brought me to your world To salvage this burning collateral Vault of creation The only specter of hope I'm crushed by the weight of my own bones The air that I breathe is heavy as Flowing matter My sentience scattered Through winds that carry me Places I've never seen I'm struck by the visions Of linear lines I see the horizon For the first time Flowing matter My sentience scattered Gravity can you keep me From coming undone In the streams of downward inertia The shards and shattered remains of A haunted station The only home that I know The sentinel that brought me to your world To salvage this burning collateral Vault of creation The only specter of hope
7.
Back in Time 07:02
I erase the lines Of every fable I've forgotten That comes at a price I unweave the solemn thread The silver tapestry of decisions That sunders every chance To make it right One by one Another memory gone I fall asleep to the rhythm I count in reverse from oblivion Only to find myself Back in time The ghost of you That follows me through A room of broken mirrors All these missing pieces Vestiges of exiled terrors The vivid dream That locked me in A hall of collapsing pillars A cascade of collisions Catastrophe of all my errors One by one Another memory gone I fall asleep to the rhythm I count in reverse from oblivion Only to find myself Back in time Was this your design? Perpetual sequences that synchronise A circle of lies Your perfect illusion of paradise But the choice is mine And now I want you to take me Back in time One by one Another memory gone I fall asleep to the rhythm I count in reverse from oblivion Only to find myself Back in time One by one Another memory gone I fall asleep to the rhythm I count in reverse from oblivion Five... Four... Three... Two... One

about

STRATA is our debut album, released via Avantgarde Music on 11/11/2022.

"Music inspired by supernovae and the ghosts of vanished planets. Doom metal in a whole new light, carrying a sense of soaring in space, a sense of liberation from the shackles of your own earthly shell. Strata is an experience of the senses – provocative and ethereal, opening up new territories in front of the listener, creating sights from the farthest corners of the cosmic abyss." - thevoidjournal.com

"Here, darkwave motifs creep in amidst a minimalist post-metal aesthetic; ethereal keyboards suggest the allure of deep space, and slow decaying riffs paint spacious and mysterious landscapes."
- metal-world.info

"We all have those albums that feel like they are something more than music, more than just another record in our collection. These albums are works of art and steadfast companions to us in the grim of life; sometimes those albums that connect with us during difficult times end up being the ones we remember and cherish forever. I think the debut album from Remina has become one such album for me. Strata releases on November 11th, but I feel like I’ve been listening to it all my life." - theprogmind.com
